SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA – – Anne Marie Schubert was named ‘District Attorney of the Year’ by Crime Victims United of California (CVUC) this morning during the rally honoring National Victims’ Rights Week in front of the Capitol.

“Anne Marie Schubert is an obvious choice for ‘District Attorney of the Year.’ She has done an outstanding job as District Attorney.” said Nina Salarno. “She has an unmatched record going above and beyond in working to protect the rights of crime victims.”

Crime Victims United of California is the state’s largest crime victims advocacy organization.

“It is such an honor to have my office’s hard work recognized by Crime Victims United,” said Anne Marie Schubert. “My top priorities are crime victims and their families and CVUC shares those same priorities. I am proud to continue to work with them to protect the victims in this community.”

Schubert has 28 years of experience working in law enforcement and is nationally recognized as an expert in DNA prosecution.

She was elected to succeed popular District Attorney Jan Scully in June of 2014 with the support of nearly every law enforcement official and organization.
